It's Been So Long, But Necessary...

It has been so long, I don't know or remember what was said. All I remember is that I should have listened to Graveyard, and when I did I didn't like it really. Don't remember why. It didn't grab me. I think the problem is you saw it live, and I didn't. I think everyone has that one live band moment that is impregnated into their mind, and they will never forget. For some reason it is memorable.

What stuck out for me is the song Paloma. It was the layering of everything. It started out with guitar/piano, then the tribal drums emerge from the gloom, then the (overdriven) guitars kick back in, then the bass kicks in, everything gets rougher and more propulsive towards the end. But I like how its just all about the different layers that are added to it.

I'll listen to everything else on the bus tommorow, and have something to say about them.
